Linus specialises in Close-up magic as he enjoys the astonishment of people getting to see magic right up close (with no cover of distance) yet still being amazed

What type of magic is suitable for my event?

There are 2 main types of magic:

Close-up magic
when performing for groups of between 1-20 people at a time. Up to 100 people/hour.
Stage magic
when performing for groups of 21-1000 people at a time.

Closeup Magic

Close-up Magic (aka Table/Roving Magic) is magic performed in an intimate setting no more than 3 meters from the spectators and for groups of 1-20 spectators at a time. E.g. for a wedding dinner of 200 people, a close-up magician might perform for 5-10 minute magic routine for the first table of 10 pax, and then move to the second table and perform a magic routine. Over the course of 2 hours, all the tables will have seen the magic performance.

Why hire a close-up magician?
Close-up magic is very interactive, and is great for breaking the ice at events and promoting conversations. Seeing is believing and close-up magic brings the Wow Factor with spectators thinking “I can see everything right up close yet the magic is still happening!” Encountering a skilled close-up magician is an experience spectator will remember for years or even decades.

SOLUTION #1

Any prices quoted to you before your event is final, we typically collect 50% deposit for booking. All pricing will depend on events and requirement. The price is inclusive of GST and there are no hidden fees.

SOLUTION #2

Linus’ philosophy when performing is that he is not just an entertainer at the event, but a host as well, and this involves making all attendees feel welcome and comfortable. Linus honed his skill at hosting during his time at Cambridge University, where he hosted guests such as Ambassadors, Prime Ministers and Royalty and now applies these skills at his events.

SOLUTION #3

Linus adopts the philosophy of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) for his magic performances. Although he has numerous achievements and accolades in magic, Linus does not simply rest on his laurels and instead regularly goes for magic training overseas because he wants to constantly grow and improve as a magician. This commitment to improvement makes Linus’ shows stand out.

SOLUTION #4

Once the deposit has been paid to book Linus for an event, Linus will not accept any other bookings at the same timeslot and will attend the event. In the rare event of personal emergencies, Linus will let the client know in advance and find a replacement magician or give a full refund.
